Cultivating Medicinal Plants

The Nyirinkwaya Foundation provides continuing education for young Rwandan agronomists, mainly young women from rural regions. The trainings provided include the cultivation of macadamia trees, the gardening of vegetables with sustainable and responsible agriculture practices. Also, technical training in macadamia grafting, in the cuttings and cultivation of medicinal plants. We believe that certain cures can be made through the cultivation of medicinal pants which could allow for medication to be easily accessible to most.

These trainings are provided in collaboration with the agricultural company Rlis ltd in Bugesera. Foreign agricultural teachers and technicians are invited to Rwanda to ensure the transmission of agricultural skills.

These training courses mostly lead to commitments to fixed positions for these young people with a decent salary at the key and a professional future in agriculture.
